My path was never a straight line. Raised in a household by strict religious values and the expectation of a 'stable’ career, the stage became my sanctuary. By age eight, I was already hunting down every talent contest and school showcase I could find. But while my early academic path was rooted in Social Sciences, my heart always belonged to the stage. Since my true calling remained, I eventually took the leap to study music on my own terms—diving into specialized studies at the WMDC in Rotterdam. This period of intensive jazz improvisation and songwriting resulted in a final performanceat Grounds as part of the jazz ensemble program.
This dedication has led to a diverse career performing abroad—from the underground jam sessions at sea to iconic Rotterdam venues like Heidegger, Bird, Jazz Café Dizzy and Grounds.
After years of exploring electronic music and collaborating with producers across Drum & Bass and House - I have finally returned to the sound that feels like home. My voice has always belonged to the world of Jazz and Soul, and this return is a celebration of these roots.
The Current Project
Today, I am focused on a new evolution: a sophisticated collaboration with brilliant young jazz talent. All this creative energy is building toward the release of two new singles, featuring pro jazz arrangements that capture the intimate, curated atmosphere of my live sets. Drawing deep inspiration from the phrasing of Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone, these releases mark my definitive return to the music that has always lived in my heart.
